CHICO, CA - (June 26, 2013) – This summer, Klean Kanteen, the leader in providing sustainable solutions to single-use plastic, is launching a national tour with three teams of brand ambassadors traversing the country in custom vehicles, attending major events and music festivals to promote reusable bottles and food containers.
"Through this program, Klean Kanteen will ignite conversations in local communities about how to reduce and ultimately eliminate single-use plastics", states Scott McGuire, director of sales and marketing at Klean Kanteen. "Spending time with consumers on a grassroots level to help increase the awareness of plastic pollution is primary to our mission as a company."
In the past few years, Klean Kanteen has directed considerable attention to providing events of all sizes, with sustainable solutions to become more environmentally responsible. By providing a single event with water filtration stations and reusable steel Pint Cups for beverage sales, Klean Kanteen has displaced upwards of 60,000 single–use plastic cups in one day. Klean Kanteen’s event reps are committed to finding other events across the country that are committed to changing the way they operate to decrease the amount of waste they produce.
Teva and GoPro are also partners in the Klean Kanteen tour. The brand ambassadors will be driving custom Mercedes Sprinter vans decked out with water filtration stations, POV cameras and shoes to give away.
